Position: Packaging Inspector & Utility Operator

Location: Mobile, AL

Pay: $15.99/hour 

Experience:  

1. Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
2. Experience working with production machinery and material handling equipment is a plus.

Type: Full-time; Contract

Clark Personnel is seeking a Packaging Inspector & Utility Operator to join a growing and dynamic team!   

Job Description:  

Packaging Inspector Duties

1. Inspect bags and finished product before packaging to confirm they meet quality standards.
2. Verify case counts and confirm date and time codes are printed correctly on every case.
3. Monitor the line for quality issues and report them promptly.
4. Load, unload, and move raw materials, finished goods, tools, and equipment by hand, hand truck, hoist, or powered lift equipment.
5. Help direct product flow through the manufacturing process.
6. Follow direction from machine operators and production leadership, and work any line as assigned.

Utility Operator Duties

1. Watch equipment performance and report malfunctions to machine operators.
2. Confirm all products are labeled correctly.
3. Assist with machine setup, size changes, print setup, and routine maintenance.
4. Clean and lubricate equipment as directed.
5. Keep production stocked by retrieving supplies, preparing boxes, and maintaining paste levels in bottom-paste pots.
6. Support operators with hands-on tasks as needed.
7. Keep the work area clean and safe by removing trash and debris throughout the shift.

Position Requirements:    

1. Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
2. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
3. Clear communication and sound judgment when problems come up.
4. Works well independently and as part of a team.
5. Able to lift and carry 50+ pounds regularly.
